I've not set up an aggregator for Board posts to result in emails to
maemo-community. Would you like me to?
If so, let me know the email address which should be used as the 'from' field.
Cheers,
Andrew

Oh, thanks, Andrew. (I think that for some reason we all thought that
Niels setup that functionality.)

Please give Board blog posts the same behavior as the Council posts: a
copy should go to the Community forum on tmo and an email should come to
this community mailing list (both with [Board] attached to the post title).

Hi Andrew,
Were you able to do this for us? (I haven't posted anything lately, but
I will soon.)
Thanks!

Sorry for the delay. Reggie does the TMO posts, from the same RSS feed[1]
It's going to be a bit fiddlier to set up, as rss2email is already
configured to use a "council@maemo.org" email address in the "From"
field. What email address should be used for Board posts (it's an
email address which will have to be subscribed to the mailing
list[2])?
Thanks,
Andrew

Why not have them come from the council address?
If you need a justification... the council can be considered to be
(automatically) forwarding the board minutes to the list.

I did wonder something similar. If the Board's happy with that, it
becomes very easy (even from my sick bed)
Cheers,

I think we should use board@hildonfoundation.org to avoid confusion and
enable council to show itself as the group running the day-to-day
operations of maemo.org.
Sorry to hear you are sick Andrew. Get well. Take your time and we'll be
appreciative of your help when you can.

As you are not well, I will remind you that rss2email has the ability to
select the mail FROM address on a per-feed basis. You have to set it by hand
in the config file. See the example config file. Unfortunately, at least in
the version I have installed, it is not clear whether you need to set
OVERRIDE_FROM or OVERRIDE_EMAIL or both.
Hope you get better soon.

--------------------------------
In a conference held by Nokia, Nemein and the Hildon Foundation, Nokia has
offered to help economically in the process of migration. The details for
starting the migration are under discussion.
Nokia is already working with the Hildon Foundation in a legal document to
cover the transferring process of maemo.org assets. While this document is
being reviewed and completed, the migration process of services should take
place during the month of December.
Nokia is willing to provide any help in the transference of maemo.org and
all of it's assets to the Hildon Foundation. To accomplish that, Nokia will
pay the cost of buying the physical servers needed by the Hildon Foundation
to ensure the survival of maemo.org after the migration from Logica. Nokia
has also offered to pay for the cost of the migration. The Hildon
Foundation will be responsible for hosting costs at Nemein beginning in
2013.
The details are being worked out by Nemein and the Hildon Foundation.
