maemo.org services go to read only mode for the migration

Hello,

The subject says it all.

Once the services are read only we will start rsyncing data to the new
hosting. As soon as this move is completed we will verify the new setup
and if all goes fine will apply the necessary DNS changes.

I just want to ask if you are OK with the timing: today, 2012-12-18 1600
(UTC/GMT +1) ?

Cheers,
ferenc

Which services will it effect? The wiki is already effectively read
only due to its brokenness (no anonymous edits, but they crash anyway;
no login: it crashes).

Presumably Garage and the Midgard-based blogging?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

Garage, VCS (all svn and git repositories), Midgard (it's not only
blogging), Bugzilla and the wiki.

Ferenc,

Thank you for the email. Please be sure to include maemo council and Ivan
on the emails as they are the ones supervising the technical and
administrative aspects of the migration.

Hi Ferenc,

Time is OK (there will be always people accessing at any time), I'll post
it at TMO.

However, please once the migration is done, take a closer look to
autobuilder and wiki issues that are affecting normal usage for more than a
month now.

Hi Ferenc,

who is owner of maemo.org Extras signing GPG key (used for
signing extras, extras-testing and extrad-devel repositories)?
That key will expire next year and then Hildon Application
Manager on N900 refuse to install anything from Extras. Same
problem happened months ago for downloads.maemo.nokia.com and OTA
+ OVI store repos not working...

The owner of the key is still Nokia. Niels and myself have access to the
repository and we can change the key if needed. I read about the
downloads.maemo.nokia.com problem, but I can't help there, unfortunately.

One more question Ferenc,

Are you also migrating scratchbox.org? If that's the case, are they aware
of that?

They're aware of the situation, we're waiting for their decisions on
what to do (since that work+hosting not covered by Nokia/Hildon
foundation).
