Uwe, so it's you the chess lover and lobbier. We need to talk (out of my Nokia role, I take chess personally and I had some ideas for the killer chess app). I use eboard in my laptop but for a mobile device there is plenty more that could be done.

I hope you find someone who can help people like me get our packages together properly. I can think of at least two worthy apps that haven't been uploaded to extras because the packaging is just beyond the reach of the developers.

there are tons of packages ready for maemo but not in a repository. My favorite example is the eboard port: https://garage.maemo.org/frs/?group_id=267
