N900 Memory problem

My N900 can't store anything in memory, drops back to read-only mode. I ran dmesg on the console and found "File system has been set read-only. FAT: filesystem error (dev mmcblk0p1) fat_get_cluster: invalid cluster chain (i_pos 0)". I get from this that the filesystem has been corrupted someway. Is there a program on the N900 that can fix the error? I can also connect to it from my Ubuntu system if there is a way to fix it from there. --Patrick

Fixed! I kept Googling and poking around in the N900. I had earlier installed ssh so I ssh-ed in as root and ran fsck.vfat -r /dev/mmcblk0p1 several times until the system came out clean. I then restarted the N900 and all appears well.
