mDICTIONARY

I can get the dictionaries loaded, but when searching a simple word -
say "home", nothing ever happens. It indicates that it's working by the
red X to stop it, but it can run for an hour with no returns or errors.

How do I troubleshoot this?

I HAVE uninstalled, rebooted and re-installed.
