Excellent, this is application making N900 real computer. Works really fine.
so, can someone push this to extras finally?
Several minor issues but can be resolved. This application has high popularity potential.
works fine
Finnish localizations mess up the "Preferences" dialog layout.
by limiting connected peers to 10 i get both fast download speeds and keep the system responsive.
indeed the problem that Mustali is describing is still there. Transmission totally freezes and when ctrl-backspacing to dashboard it shows the yellow-banner visible on app... not in fullscreen though.

I also had the problem where clicking a torrent in the browser loads transmission and I couldn't get past the yellow warning message. After reinstalling I got it to load up, it promptly froze up the whole system. Eventually Maemo asked me if I wanted to kill it. -1
Can't get past warning message on first loadup.
Works well, only need a bug tracker, according to the author a new version is coming.
the first I used the app was when I downloaded a torrent file from the browser and the browser opened it auotomatically. it seemed like the app was locked but the task switcher showed a yellow banner on the app window which didnt appear when the app window was active. I think this is the warning wimdow. I had to kill the app from the CLI. the first time warning banner needs to be optimized. I reinstalled the app to duplicate the problem but it didnt happen. perhaps, there is a config file somewhere that needs to be deleted for a fresh start?
also, the app is a severe drain on system resources - my download had 29 connected peers. this made performing any other function difficult.
Thanks Quim.
I'll post to developers when I've uploaded the next version which features some more UI changes.
Ryan, UI "little strange" shouldn't be a blocker as long as it's usable http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras-testing/QA_Checklist#Non-blockers
Here goes my little contribution to have a first release in Extras.
About performance issues, please ask for advice in maemo-developers. Hopefully Eero & co can help you.
In the meantime, offering more conservative defaults might do the trick for the average user.
Works like a charm, the only problem is severe performance drain on the CPU. Running strace shows that the application does a lot of polling for I/O. Anyone smart/knowledgeable enough to trace down the exact place where it happens and make it more system-friendly?
Works well except that if there is a lot of activity, say... if you join a torrent with a lot of seeds, Transmission ends up going unresponsive for minutes at a time, but still is doing its work.
When this can be fixed (or when default settings are lowered to avoid this issue), I'll give it a +1.
The UI lockup when adding a torrent is a little strange. Otherwise it looks awesome. UI overhaul is particularly impressive.
Waiting on a fix for the UI lockup for +1.
It works alright and ui is done very well. Also it really locks device and you basically cannot do anything when torrent is downloading. But there's a warning about it so maybe it's ok :)
+1 too. Jennifer's Body wasn't so great how I hoped, but I can't blame to Faheem for it :-)
Well, thanks all the same. :D
Heh. Added my comment to the wrong app. Sorry for the noise. Still my +1 is a +1 here. :-)
Only tested ogg files, but that works fine, also in the music library and filemanager.
