Thank you, Nice app
please someone tell me why youtube streaming is not working...all i get is an error msg...btw the app is super awsome...
aaaaaaawwwwwwwwsooooooooommmme!!! goood wrk!!!! but im not getting it to play youtube vids...how do i do this ???
Really liking this app, though there are a couple of things that could've been even better.
ogg file support. I've installed the package ogg-support (version 1.0.5) for the Nokia N900, yet MediaBox won't let me see any ogg files.
Play all songs by an artist, regardless of album. When I browse artists I currently need to select an album, which is silly when I only have two tracks of an artist but from two separate albums.
Delete songs. I'd like an option in the context menu to not only remove a song from a playlist, but to delete the file from disk.
Very nice app, thanks for it! I'm using it on N810 and N900 mostly to stream stuff via UPnP. A desktop widget would be nice ;)
very nice app plays youtube videos smooth and good quality

Any chance to get a desktop widget for this? Pretty much the only thing that keeps me using the maemo 5 media player for... well, all multimedia
I would love to have the textfield get focus while searching for youtube videos and option of just pressing the enter button to trigger search and no screen rotation when the keyboard is open and also a "All Songs" folder under Music which has all the songs so that when I play song all the songs get played with option to play them randomly.
very nice app, but according to John Kolano, the random mode should allow to switch to real previous track. When playing playlists, sometimes hangs at the end of a track, then nothing happened. When rotating display, or disabling screen, the sounds pause a little, very disturbing...
Meets all expectations; doesn't do anything weird or unexpected.

I'll have to up my stars for the new version. Many of the bugs were fixed. One "feature" I don't agree with is the back button and forward button do the same thing in random play. If you like a song and want to go back and replay it in random play mode, you can't, which makes no sense to me. Still wish that there was an option to send song and artist over RDS (even though the spec says you shouldn't)
Very nice program , a little slow but can play shoutcast and youtube :)
any way to use this to copy adhoc files on to the N900 from one of the connected networks?
Bien mais inutile : Le lecteur multimédia intégré au N900 suffit largement et est plus fluide.
J'ai bien aimé l'organisation (lecture que des fichiers sur SD etc.).
Plays pretty well for me, as it stands. Sort the volume control out and I reckon it'll be an excellent alternative to the built in media player. Also makes for a good file manager as well.
Any plans to introduce a graphic equalizer?
Very slow finding media and could not connect to my media server at all, and I could not see any benefit to using it over the nokia apps at this stage.
Nice to have Mediabox back in action, especially with portrait mode.
Perfect for my uses, but some bugs are quite obtrusive.
1: System/App. volume are not linked. 2: Audio skips when screen dims to black.
This is one of those apps that could be a 5 star app if a few of the bugs got fixed. Unfortunately, the volume bug is hard to live with since you have to readjust the volume after every song. I also wish the RDS would cycle through the song and artist. Every time I look at the radio to find out the artist it just says MEDIABOX. Even if it's not per the RDS spec, there could be an "I agree" option to allow for this. The user interface is user friendly and playlist setup is nice.
Don't know if it's just me or what, but everytime i use the online radio (shoutcast) in this program, the space in my roots reduces gradually. After downloading this app, i had 57mb in my roots, and that was 4days ago. 2days ago, it was 51mb and when i checked it today, it was 45mb.
Needs some improvements; the UPNP feature is extremely useful and well implemented (however, it needs work too).
Good to see mediabox on the N900; it was an app I used heavily on my N800. One feature that I liked on the old version which I can't seem to find on the new one was the ability to delete playlist entries from a selected point to the start or end of the playlist. Apart from that it seems pretty solid from what little I've had chance to use it so far. Regarding Bobby's comment about volume, it can be adjusted with the system volume control (tap in the status area at the top and it pops out with other menus). There seems to be a problem though, as the volume resets after each track; I think this might be a system-level issue though, as it's the same in Panuccu. With both, just tapping on the volume control (even without moving it) brings the volume back up.
this app still has alot of work and from my testing it not extra material.
Its slow, and very unresponsive. even when i tried playing some tracks. the volume was very low and i could even find a way to increase it. anyway nice to have an alternative player. it just needs more work.
only plays one video at a time :(
