Brainstorm

often I do not hear that new message has arrived, in order to check whether I have one - I have to

1) press the power button

2)  swipe to unlock

3) enter the code

and only then I see that I have nothing new...

<pretext>I think I managed to upset moderators in the bug-tracker about this issue here (apologies for that, was not my intention at all). I was not trying to make a support call but rather find a solution for many of my webdesigns and other websites I visited. I was not 100% well-read about this subject (and I am still not) and was very up in trying to start learning this for my joomla templates in my buisness. I understand that the bugtracker is not for these kind of feature requests. I am also sorry if I don't understand the deep technical things around this. I am just a moderate webdesigner with a goal of doing great websites for desktop and handhelds.</pretext>

The N900 touchscreen is great. But it's annoying to swipe about 20 times in long websites to reach the top of a page. We need a good solution for this issue! :)

the alarm clock whick wakes me up every day i s very basic there is

Description of Problem:

In the last few months there have been quite alot of key threads and quick news on the Talk pages... within days there are normally 10-20 extras posts of people not realising, for example the servers are down, or the upgrade is out etc....

Why :

So i have created this brainstorm in the hope that a simple solution for all can be had :) - this will help the moderators and users trying to help, and also other users trying to find information. It will also help centralise some discussions.

I have added a few brainstorm solutions below - please add more if you feel there is a decent solution.
