Camera cover app activation choice

Posted on 2009-12-07 12:16 UTC by Simon Pickering. Status: Under consideration, Categories: Media, User Experience.

Currently the Camera application is automatically started when the camera cover is slid open, users may want their own choice of camera handling application to open instead.

Camera timer for taking timed shots

Posted on 2010-02-19 16:48 UTC by Clayton Craft. Status: Under consideration, Categories: Media.

Having the ability to take timed photos (automatically after 5 seconds for example) would be a very useful feature. Some instances where is would be handy:

- Taking a group photo in which the user wishes to be a part of would set the N900 on a stand, set the timer, and join the photo

- Taking self-portraits while traveling, etc. User would set N900 on stand, set timer, and get into place

Currently the only way this would be possible is if the user is somehow fast enough to beat the camera shutter. Unless he/she is superman, the user has no chance to beat the shutter.

Make it easier to contribute to Maemo OS

Posted on 2009-09-23 14:44 UTC by Sébastien Gendre. Status: Under consideration, milestone: Fremantle, Categories: Programming.

It misses the possibility to contribute directly to the free element of Maemo as we can do it with Android, Fedora, Debian, etc. ...

Example: if I want to correct a bug or add a features in Maemo OS, where I go? Where I get the source code? To who I send my contribution?

catching up with long talk.maemo.org forum threads

Posted on 2009-09-30 21:03 UTC by thomas p. Status: Under consideration

sometimes a tmo thread gets immensely popular, and before you know it has hundreds of posts. the thread subject might be interesting, but reading all posts could be too time-consuming. how can added value be extracted from excessively long tmo threads?

for example, due to the high volume of posts in popular threads, quite often people post questions that have already been answered in the very same thread.

It will be better if there is controlpanel option for cell info display(location) to view on desktop as in other Nokia phones
