[maemo SDK+] Maemo SDK+ 0.2.6 available

Maemo SDK+ team is happy to announce that version 0.2.6 is available for download. This version includes minor bug fixes and also an improved Anjuta maemo SDK+ plugin. Maemo SDK+ provides an alternative way to do software development for Nokia Internet Tablets. Maemo SDK+ is using Scratchbox2 as the cross-compilation "engine". Scratchbox2 differs radically from Scratchbox1 and one of the biggest benefits of maemo SDK+ is that the developer is no longer forced to program in closed environment. Despite of all the known problems in different cross-compilation environments we believe that the maemo developer experience should be similar to the developer experience when writing code natively in your host computer. The current version of maemo SDK+ is still alpha quality and some essential features like runtime support is missing. The current version can be used to compile and build many software packages but running your apps in maemo SDK+ is not currently possible. We are currently implementing the runtime environment and the target for this is Alpha-2 release (wk09/2008).
