The Text Input Settings Plugin ("tips") is a plugin for the "Text input" applet in that is located in the Control Panel in Maemo 5. This initial version lets you select the input plugin that will be used for finger, stylus and keyboard. Basically, it just gets the information about the installed Input Method plugins and offers a way to set the GConf keys under /apps/osso/inputmethod/default-plugins/.
