still does not work even with the patch
Niec application on the N810 ! But I found that it did not download videos as Youtube has changed the protocol to download the FLV vids. I found a patch on this site: http://forums.internettablettalk.com/showthread.php?p=763643 a direct link is http://forums.internettablettalk.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=12419&d=1280013217 Anter installing mytube you should install this patch by sudo dpkg -i Mytubepatch-0.1.5c-1_all.deb Then it works fine !
This program is not working due to a change in the Youtube API. There is a fix available please see posts #282 #289 and #291 here: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=17739&highlight=mytube&page=29
youtube recently changed how video is streamed so mytube won't work. i also tried using online flash video downloaders and same thing.
whatever data was streamed could be captured as a file to download, the cache i guess? you can't do that now. it seems there is something done before it allows streaming to verify streaming is only in youtube.com. it might be something java. @scene and canola plugin also don't work.
this really sucks since i use it for videos. hope someone figures it out. seriously might sell my nokias and get a viliv.
Hiya, I must be the only one who this isn't working for. Whenever I press "play", no video plays. It looks like it loads then nothing happens. Can anyone help me with this? I tried downloading the dependencies but it always gives me a "Not found: The requested URL /extras-devel/pool/chinook/free/m/mplayer/mplayer_1.0rc1-maemo.24.n8x0_armel.deb was not found on this server."
perfect for youtube-freaks :) thanks for this app, it is really nice
Handy as heck for downloading videos to show them offline when a connection isn't available. Also far superior to watching the videos in the browser when online. Slick app! I use it often!
Really cool. Do you have version also for N900?
Awesome program.. makes youTube videos watchable as it is kinda a pain (no fault of myTube) to watch in browser.
Really like the ability to download for later viewing.
Themes are nice too.
Thanks
I only reluctantly installed it because it's generally so useless to have a client for an online service that's... well, online. In your browser.
After the first use, I was already convinced. The only bad thing about it is that I didn't install it much, much earlier.
It's a real experience to concentrate on what you want (the video) and leave out all the rubbish around. Also, I'm almost certain videos play much better than they do on the youtube website. No hickups. (Also, having them fullscreen by default is a real plus.)
Thank you for this wonderful app!
I have been using this for a couple of weeks now. A really nice application. Well done.
One of the advantages of this little app is that it saves the youtube videos on your disk so that you can see them again later. The user interface is simple and efficient... too bad the buttons are very small and difficult to push with fingertips.
A lot of useful functionality in a small & friendly program. Should be a staple.
This application has a easy to use interface and works great. I should have downloaded it months ago.
Was working great up until 2 days ago.
This is a great app. Well designed & straigtforward. I actually much prefer this app over surfing on youtube on a fast computer.
Good interface with very good ideas.
It's the better option to see Youtube videos on the tablets.
It would be really nice a plugin for the browser to launch mytube automatically when you are in a webpage with a youtube video.
App installed flawlessly. Like the interface and yes, it plays UTube vids really well. Great addition to the N800 series.
If you can get it to download the HQ versions as well, this will be awesome! Still, great program!
Updating my rating because MyTube has evolved into a fantastic app and a staple of my Maemo install.
this is a really great app. stable, intuitive and useful. UI could do with some cosmetic improvement and login button does not work for me. otherwise, i'm really enjoying Mytube!
Love it, Love it, Love it!!! It's searches, plays and downloads YouTube clips. It works as soon as you load it up.
This programs Rocks Can you please make it for Diablo 4.1 i really miss this program on the new OS2008.
Thanks.
Can't give it five stars yet because still some hitches in things. But I want to.
Simple, direct, unobtrusive. Needs some improvements, but they are coming.
A very cool start to a great little application. Youtube and maemo as a media player is a natural fit.
