Play audio books, podcasts and live concerts with resuming
Panucci will automatically resume the playback from the position where you stopped last time. Bookmarks are also supported. The interface has elements big enough to be used with your fingers.

I've been using it a lot to listen to audio books and works perfectly.
Nice app, I just wish it was possible to select multiple files at once to add to the playlist.
How this option seems to be missing. How u select multiple files at once. Or select one folder which contains files to be played. My audioboks are divided many small files. Now I have to put these files one by one to playlist ??
Great app - along with Gpodder it's amoungst my favorites on the n900 - Thank you to the authors :)
Perfect for listening podcasts. It remembers the last file + position and allows to easily continue playing where I left it previously. The seek buttons are easy to use with fingers and respond very fast. gPodder also recognizes Panucci and allows to select it for opening audio files.
Go Jira (1st comment) please don't make wild guesses. https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6694 is certainly not a gstreamer bug.
Great program, it's just a shame it is hampered by the Gstreamer bug that Thomas mentions (https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6694). Hopefully there will be a resolution soon.
perfect application, I would like to see possibility to control transmitter directly from panucci.
It would be nice if it included a quick way to enable the FM transmitter (like in the built-in media player app).
Thanks a lot for this very nice app! I use it all the time and would ditch the default mediaplayer for audiobooks/the like, if this lovely app had a way of dealing with media thats divided over many small files. I use mp3wrap as a BAD fix on occasion for this. With a function that would manage many small files. Five stars for sure! :D
Thank you for this nice application - making me smarter by playing me audio books and recordings. :)
Can we get a screenshot added please?
Andy: DRM-protected files don't work at all. Search for "Hymn Project" for hints on what to do (which might be illegal in your country). In case of doubt, simply transcode the non-DRMed files to MP3 or some format for which you have GStreamer codecs on your device (Panucci uses GStreamer, so it will play anything that GStreamer on the device can play).
Thanks for this useful app. Unfortunately, I'm unable to play AAC-coded audiobooks (.m4a, .m4b - iTunes audiobooks). Is it possible to add support of this format?
Hi guys,
I've had lots of fun with this app already but it's not perfect yet. when playing a podcast and locking or unlocking the screen, the music glitches. with the slide switch on the side it's not so bad, but it's a bit worse with double tapping the power button to lock the screen. it's only a second at most, but it's still annoying. I mostly listen to podcasts with a stereo bluetooth headset (from nokia). It's a shame that I can't pause the music with the control buttons on the headset. only volume adjusting works... Again, great app already, but it could be even better.
in reply to my compliant about panucci always pulsing sound during screen rotation. i think it was a firmware issue. the PR1.1 updates seems to have fixed the issue
This is the application I need to get my new N900 to where it needs to be but it won't install for me. I am getting an error in the application manager log:/home/.apt-archive-cahce/pannucci_0,3-8thp0_all.deb trying to overwrite '/opt. which is also in package base files dpkg.deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (broken pipe)
Anyway, I think that is the genesis of the error. Sorry for any typos. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Sorry for posting here but I did not see a link to post bugs, etc.
Fred
This is an excellent app. the combination with gpodder makes it my must used application of the N900. I just noticed that its seems to pulse alot when am changing orientation from portrait to landscape and vis versa ( It also pulses when I change the orientation of other application like the phone app, gpodder etc), I also experience pulse when I lock the screen. Not by any means a deal breaker. But solving this bugs would go a long way to improve user experience.
Mikko: Thanks for your feedback. This is a known problem and affects all third party applications that use GStreamer for audio playback, not only Panucci. See https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6694 for more information.
Nice App.. I'm loving it already. But there is a little BUT.. :) When N900 is in Silent profile, app stops playing any audio too(well, playing continues but there is no sound..) Even with headphones connected.
Bobby: You can set Panucci as audio player in gPodder 2.1's preferences menu. Please note that the current version in Maemo Extras is 2.0. An updated version is already in Extras-Testing, and will be promoted soon (it has the necessary votes, just waiting for the necessary days that it has to be in Extras-Testing).
Is it possible to make the application the default for gpodder, so that if I play a podcast from gpodder it would launch the panucci app instead of the N900 media player
