People often complain about how, especially in long threads, duplicate responses can have a 'polluting' effect on the thread.
Following the example of stackoverflow.com, it would be more useful to have the most 'useful' (thanked) responses appear first - allowing the reader to process this info on the first couple pages (the most likely to be read before running out of patience).
