I'd really like to be able to use the next Maemo device as a portable Ham Radio interface to my Yaesu FT-817. I believe it would be the perfect companion for mobile or remote operations.

After searching around a bit I found a PSK31 interface for Ham Radio digital communication. It looks like there is already work being done in Linux for this at:

Would this be an easy port due to it being programmed in Qt?

For remote radio control, here is an example of a widows mobile solution:
CTR (Control The Radio) is a software front end to control the FT-817 via bluetooth or TCP/IP.
