Finger Zoom in the image viewer

Posted on 2009-09-25 22:47 UTC by mike choy. Status: Under consideration, Categories: Media.

Not sure how you do a zoom in the n900, but normally you have buttons with coarse grain zooming. Lots of button presses to get to how you want the picture to look for a crop or just to get to the detail you want.

It would be nice to do a zoom using the same techinques as the n900 browser. Twirly fingers is what I shall call it :-)

Solution #2: Douple tap for zoom in, long tap for zoom out

Posted on 2010-03-29 12:19 UTC by Emanuele Cassioli.

Very simple: double tap the image for zooming it, and hold down your finger for more than 1 sec for zooming out. Actually these two tappings are not used by the image viewer, and I think they would be very intuitive (the zoom in would be similar to the MicroB's one).
