It looks not really well done how to start new applications. Well, it's easy, because you just have to press the menu button two times, but it doen't look nice and the screen filled with various application icons. That makes it looking confusing. Especially the "more" icon is not user friendly.

Improving application request process

Application requests doesn't have single place where one could see requests, state of the project (has somebody assigned to port/write an app allready etc)
This will probably lead to talk.maemo.org flooded with application requests. One thread per one request. (Waste of resource imo and makes searches etc harder because of the noise those threads create)
Distribute future testing firmware to trusted contributors

There was a big discussion for Bug 5315 3 Mobile SIM card rejected @ https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5315 regarding the disclosure of the latest firmware for testing this bug.
It's true that open source doesn't mean you must publish everything, but it does defeat the main point of open source development, which is to do with an open and involve contributions from the community.
It would be ideal to distribute future testing firmwares to trusted contributors in different continents to speed up the testing and verifying issues has been fixed, by doing so, it will significantly improve the turn-around time for the release of new firmwares, at the same time speed up and improve development.

Every week I have to take out the garbage. Unfortunately I am not reminded by my phone of such an important recurring task.
