Peter Schneider

Peter is currently heading the global product marketing team for Maemo Software at Nokia responsible for communication to the open source community, the business ecosystem, and lead customers.

He has over 12 years of experience in product management, product marketing, and business development functions in the telecommunications and software industry. Before his current position, he has been heading for over 2 years the strategic product marketing team of S60 software for operators in Nokia.

During his career, Peter has been responsible for various product management teams for browsing, payment, DRM, and download solutions in Nokia since October 2000. Before working at Nokia, Peter worked as Business Development Manager for Siemens. He also worked as Product Manager at Siemens responsible for mobile enterprise communication solutions in the Nordic Countries for three years.

Peter holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt, Germany and a MBA degree in General Management from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration, Finland.
