A software developer and Debian sysadmin (when necessary). I got my 770 just before Christmas, and have a Stowaway bluetooth keyboard on order. I got root, but I can't enable root for (user?) mode without a workable text editor. joe is installed, but I can't figure out how to hit ctrl using the touchscreen keyboard. I'm sure this info will remain woefully out of date... ;)

The lastest xterm packages have ctrl option in it's menu. I don't know if that helps. Hope it does.

i got root (and am still in R&D mode.. you have to reflash to disable R&D mode AFAICT) and my stowaway bt kb is great, exactly as described in recent post @ planet.maemo.org 2006/01/12.
kb is preferred modus operandi using xterm.
