Add Portrait mode input

To allow input in one-handed portrait mode usage, one would need an effective input method.

E.g. when using a portrait mode messaging client.

Only provide a full QWERTY in portrait mode. No T9.

Solution #5: provide an API for different keyboards

Ideally this would be realized through some kind of API so that different keyboards can later on be realized. This way one could start with the most simple/cheap solution and add something better later on.

Add on-screen keyboard for T9 like "regular" phone keypad, 0-9*#

A T9 (phone key pad) style input, with option to switch to QWERTY mode and vice versa.

Solution #4: Allow user to pick full QWERTY or T9 in portrait mode

Support both full QWERTY and T9 in portrait mode. Allow user to use either one of these. Default setting should cater to what majority of users want or expect.
