Very nice.
Maemo Mapper is geographical mapping visualization software specifically designed for the Maemo platform and the Nokia 770/N800/N810 form factor. It uses raster maps downloaded from the internet from various online repositories (such as OpenStreetMap). It supports tracking, routing, POI, and other features found in personal navigation devices.

This is a minor bugfix release, which also adds formal support for a couple new languages. Also added the ability to enable/disable recording of your track.
top app for the IT. flying with maemo mapper over the world is great fun.
Great application. Version 2 is the top app in the IT.
Crashes repeatably with some Virtual Earth URLs, or 'Go To Address'. *OS2007 on 770.
Maemo Mapper is a great app with a lot of potential. I don't know if it's a benefit or a detriment, but it can do WAY too much... It is a little intimidating for a first-time user (or someone who's not familiar with GPS terminology).
Excellent app with excellent developer responsiveness.
This is a killer-app for maemo. Maybe still some issues to improve, but already very useful, with or without a GPS receiver.
Very nice map viewing and navigation application. Weak points are limited POI searching and display, and reliance on a working internet connection in order to update maps and routes (which may be difficult when driving in the countryside).
Perfect! On my last journey mapper ran for 16 hours in a row (without restarting) and recorded a 1300 km long track. I was adding several POIs as well. At the end saving took some time, but the sw was stable. I just love it!

This is a fantastic application! Had to run version 2.4.1 on my N770 with os2007 as GPS couldnt be found on later versions. The following link is what i used to get this working.
