Good start, need to be more fremantalized. A bugtracker should be added in the debian/control file: http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras-testing/QA_Checklist#Lack_of_bug_reporting_database
what does it mean to be optified? the main program is in /opt but there are a couple of files is /usr
