Storage Usage 1.1.0

Shows the disk usage of files as a treemap. Scans the file system (root, home, memory card or user defined folder) and displays how much disk space the folders take on the device. The largest files are also displayed in a treemap. The application can also display the disk usage for the installed packages.

The problem with the progress text is actually a bug in Qt's Maemo style and it should get fixed once Qt 4.6 is released. I'll see what can be done about the summary page.

The search feature for the package scan is coming in the next version.

Nice application. It took me quite some time to figure that the first graph was for the RootFS. The label home being so close I couldn't see anything else. There maybe should be a separation or the label should be closer to its graph. Also, when scanning for packages the names appear correctly in the beginning, but while the progress bar is growing, all the text get changed to black color on black background and we can't read it anymore, could you use another color for that?

I love this tool. It's such a big help to see which packages are using to much space in rootfs.

I don't feel that the actual version is slower than the older one. Opening a package to list it's content needs less than a second.

  • Thanks for the changelog

  • This version is far more unresponsive than the previous one. Opening a folder/package in order to show the files inside takes a lot of time. I think it is because of the last point in your changelog.

  • The summary page is great!

  • You should insert a package search feature, when I'm testing an app I always use Storage Usage for verifying optification, and it often takes a lot to find the package in the very long list.
