Comments:
I like the graphical changes, the rearrangements and icons look nice.
Play and stop buttons start out in an enabled state, but pressing them will do nothing.
I was experiencing a few glitches with play-back when I first started the application as explained below, but these seemed to resolve themselves and I haven't seen them again.
Steps to reproduce: Record an audio clip Press stop Immediately press play - nothing plays
It looked like the play button was being activated before the audio play source had been changed, because if another audio clip was opened and played and then the steps above were followed, the previously opened clip would play instead.
Send via email, as reported by others doesn't yet work. It would be good if this linked to the sharing as used by other applications, although I'm not sure how useful it would be to share an audio clip via facebook/pixelpipe.

@Mustali, Stop button should stop always, but if you press play/record while playing/recording then it should pause. I'll change the icons to indicate that in some version. I can send you a version that prints to stdout if you want.
@Floriano, thanks for noticing. fixed in next version
If you see crashes, does it happen when starting, while playing/recording?
If it is while recording, you could try installing gstreamer0.10-tools and then from terminal: $ gst-launch-0.10 -v pulsesrc ! wavenc ! filesink location=test.wav
Also, coredumps might help, because it is not crashing in my device, even when recording several hours.
I have seen maemo-recorder in Devel (now it is absent). I think it had better interface. I think file name can be on main screen aspecially because you have a lot of not used space....

No crashes here. I recorded two ~15 second recordings in a row. Played both back and stopped each successfully.
Instead of "crashing randomly" will someone post some steps on how they see a crash?
I did not see crashes, and the app seemed stable. Perhaps this is a firmware/hardware/etc version issue?
Crashes randomly. It seems to be far away from stable. Try to use it more than a few test seconds and you will see segfaults.
Send via e-mail does not work. Pressing the button does nothing.
thanks
