Very unstable. Application crashes if a wired headset is plugged in. Bug reporting is possible in bugs.maemo.org.

For me the recorder crashes with "Segmentation fault" after a while, usually in few minutes. I haven't installed any debugging tools on my N900, but I test this a bit, if I if somebody points out simple way.

if i turn on bluetooth (even if no device is paired at the time) recorder seem to crash to desktop at random, sometimes works fine other times is just exits, when i press play or when i press record for 2nd time so it prompts me if i want to save the first recording or not, after i press no it crashes, but as i said, its random, doesn't happen every time.

@Michael Cronenworth: Attempt to record more a bit longer, you won't notice the crash when multi-tasking with just 1 minute long recording. Try 5 or 10 minutes at least.

@Marko Nykanen: The previous version worked a lot better than this for me.

Tested recording and saving a 1 minute sound clip. It worked. Multi-tasked (app manager was up) and there was no crashing during recording.

Could you please add a timer counter on playback? The slider is nice, but it is hard to judge the exact second the slider is positioned at.

I couldn't reproduce any crashes. Successfully recorded 50minutes.

Another minor issue: recorded file misreports audio-length. A 3 sec recording is reported as 1:41:26 in vlc/banshee (http://bit.ly/818hmE)

App crashes when attempting to multi-task. I had it on recording, went back to Menu and start Note, while trying to type some note, going back to the Recorder app it hangs and a crash reporter was produced (via Crash Reporter)

I am having great difficulty trying to get it to record anything more than 30 minutes length and multi-task while it records. Hence the thumb down.

Its debatable whether the issues you described meet any of the criteria in the QA testing Check-list.

The WAV files are rather huge and 30min may have caused the phone to run out of memory. also the 'wrong indication to end-users' is subjective and does not warrant a thumbs-down based on the criteria.

@Marko, it would be nice to get this into bugzilla to handle bugs and enhancement-requests.

Crashed on first start after upgrade from 0.3.0, otherwise seems to be ok.

Attempted to record today for 30 minutes, forgot to turn it off at the end of the meeting.

Came home to see it's still recording. Decided to stop it. But the application was not responding.

Also when opening the application, button Play and Stop should be hide, this gives a wrong indication to end-users there is something to playback or that they are overriding the current files.

For these reasons, it's a thumbdown for me.

the README.Debian file still refers to maemo-recorder. I was surprised to see the Copyright by Nokia in the copyright file.

Wasn't the name of the package changed to remove reference to Nokia/Maemo?
