And what the simple UI would be? I think that it would be very similar to Panucci, but only with two (big) buttons, record and play, and with rotation support of course.

Thumbs up to get Recorder out ASAP, but please don't leave it "alone" - better GUI is much needed... Thanks for your work, much appreciated anyway!

I gave it a thumbs up, just because we need any recording app at this point, but the UI needs to be simplified.

Agree with @Andre's suggestions.

It would be nice if the Format showed 'WAV' instead of N/A

I expected to be able to edit the Filename before recording - all the four widgets look like text input fields and I can even move the cursor in them, but it's impossible to write/delete. I now understand that it's only an area where non-editable information is displayed. /// Clicking the "New" button in the toolbar always shows a "Stopped" popup which is a bit weird.

seems like os bug, same issue is files renamed from filemanager

  • If the 'Save Recording' dialog interprets a touch outside the dialog as 'No', it would be more in line with the general UI. similar to the File->Save-As dialog.

  • Remove Cancel button from Save Recording dialog

  • Stop recording if Rec button pressed again
