I am using the standard file dialog, QFileDialog. Apparently it's not completely hildonized in Qt4.5, but there is not much I can do about that.
There will be a vertical slider, too, which will work as a size slider.
Installing is a bit tricky as I don't know how to reliably determine which files are needed for a particular font family, help most welcome.
Please use the standard file dialog. The slider should change the font size, not the font. Would be good if the user could actually install fonts with this app (copy to /home/user/.fonts/).
Works great.
Good work, real useful for font lovers.
