The Qt Mail and messaging server This is a Qt Messaging Framework metapackage depending on both the Qt Mail application and Qt Messaging base plugins (IMAP, POP, SMTP). The Messages client application enables the user to receive emails from multiple mail servers as well as SMS and MMS messages from other mobile phone devices. It also provides the ability to use other services by third-party plugins.

@Pavel: the package will automatically removed from testing if the maintainer (=you) vote thumbs down on it. For removal from extras-devel, you need Niels' help indeed.

Thank you for your note, I agree with you, it package should be removed from the Testing, because in the new version of sources (http://maemo.org/packages/source/view/fremantle_extras-testing_free_source/qt4-messagingframework/2010W35-0maemo2/) it doesn't exist any more and this version is outdated, already.

This should not be a user section application? This is not intended for end-users, but for developers.

If you want this package promoted, just make sure your application depends on it.

I actually applaud your effort of bringing this to Extras, but it is packaged incorrectly. That is the reason for voting it down.
