According to my own experience, this package is no longer in the work of the developer. Roman Deninberg is somewhat halted the development to this app. The app works fine via command line. You'll have to register the key manually inside the config file. This required a bit of work, but it runs good on OC devices and not so good on standard devices. So I think whether is it no longer in development or improvement, I'm going to cast my vote for it.

According to my personal experience, this package as a stand-alone app doesn't work at all.

I've managed to get it working by installing Psx4m-GUI (from Devel); apparently, psx4m can't create the keys file without the GUI: it properly runs the game from the bin file but the user can't press any button because they hadn't been previously assigned.

BTW, the description should include a link to a wiki page with a complete guide on how to use the emulator, I couldn't even imagine that I had to symlink the executable, copy the bios file, etc...

However, the emulator works very well and I can play many games without problems (once installed the GUI) at a reasonable speed (overclocking at 1 GHz makes the speed amazing).
