Excellent. The only thing I would change right now is to make the configurable update times multiples of 5 seconds... so 1 sec, 5 secs, 10 secs, up to 60.

oops missed that post. Maybe this site has some problems with timezones or something.

Considering that the widget will be updating only when it's visible, and that will be relatively short periods at a time, interval can be fairly frequent. Interval has to be set so that the users can see that it's updating, otherwise they could assume that it's not working. If users have patience of 10 seconds before they give up, maybe interval between 1 to 5 seconds is a good value.

But that's only how I would do it, because it would be easier for me and I believe it would be good for users too. Less is more :)

Mikko - my reply where I realize I am wrong is for some reason three posts down. Posted from the same computer too.

What would you recommend for a refresh interval?

Actually it doesn't work without XB-, you can seen from the .deb (from the repository) that the field is missing. And it doesn't show in application manager. There's same problem with countdown-home.

About the update interval. Good default is better than configurable setting, imo.

Mikko - I will fix that for the next version. For some reason both work, but I understand XB is the correct one.

Didn't try but Maemo-Display-Name in debian control should be XB-Maemo-Display-Name

Oops, Maemo-Display-Name does NOT work. Thanks Mikko. I don't know what I didn't notice this before :|

Basically works, only complaint: Displayed data is not updated in real time when the Desktop is visible. Need to switch to another view and back to see the updated numbers.

Andre - It should be updated once a minute when being displayed. I wanted to be easy on batteries by default ;) In the next version I will allow the user to choose the update interval.
