Hi Ken,

Set background color/image is on the roadmap already. :)

For more information , you may refer to this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=719208&postcount=9

Hi Tomasz,

Noted. I can reproduce the problem now. Thanks!

I think it may not be related to anti-aliasing, just because I used a slow computation method for finding bounding rectangle. Anyway , I will study the problem and work out a solution.

Try drawing one long line without breaks, just doodle around until you notice the responsivness gradually go down, the line becomes more jagged. You don't even have to draw particularly quickly, speed is not a huge factor, it's the length of a single line I think. Once you stop the single long line and start another, responsiveness is back again, until you make the line very long, and so on.

I think that if you were able to which the background color to black (as an option) it would enhance readability. Bright colors on a black background have very good visibility.

The responsiveness is fine, I think.

Very nice.

It is very responsive for me.

Hi Tomasz,

Thanks!

For your problem, I have asked several users, they do not feel that PenPen is less responsive than Sketch. I have tried to draw rapidly, the speed should be acceptable. I don't feel much delay between drew the stroke and the stroke appear.

Is your sketch contains more than thousand of lines?

Great job! Although I do have one issue, Pen Pen is a lot less responsive than the standard Sketch application. Try drawing rapidly in both apps and notice how Pen Pen is not able to keep up, while Sketch is mostly working very well in that regard. Pen Pen destroys Sketch on every other aspect. I think anti-aliasing is killing performance, maybe you could make it an option?
