OpenVPN 2.1~rc20-3maemo3
virtual private network daemon
OpenVPN is an application to securely tunnel IP networks over a
single UDP or TCP port. It can be used to access remote sites, make
secure point-to-point connections, enhance wireless security, etc.
OpenVPN uses all of the encryption, authentication, and certification
features provided by the OpenSSL library (any cipher, key size, or
HMAC digest).
OpenVPN may use static, pre-shared keys or TLS-based dynamic key exchange. It
also supports VPNs with dynamic endpoints (DHCP or dial-up clients), tunnels
over NAT or connection-oriented stateful firewalls (such as Linux's iptables).

Comments:
@timeless: bash is available from the "Nokia Applications" standard repository, factory-enabled. For the future, please file a bug when giving thumbs down: it makes it easier to track issues.
this requires bash|bash2, neither of which seem to be in testing. How did it manage to get promoted out of testing when it doesn't even install in testing?
Sorry for the triple post... the connection was just to laggy. My fault.
The OpenVPN backend works like a charm. I am connected to 4 VPNs several hours a day with my N900.
The Applet has some minor glitches, but I'll comment on this on the appropriate page.
Cheers Bjoern

Thanks for porting this. Have been using it 24/7 this week without any problems. Personally don't need the applet as I have unlimited data and want the VPN connected continuously.
@venomrush: you should install openvpn-applet, else the normale openvpn documentation still applies.
How do I set it up? I can't find OpenVPN anywhere, in Settings nor More
liblzo2-2 should be promoted manually, because system thinks it's still available from default repositories
