Maep 1.2
Simple tile map
Maep is a tile based map utility for services like openstreetmap, google maps
and virtual earth. This is the same map renderer that's also being used by
GPXView and OSM2Go. Maep is meant to easily be included into other programs
and to become a universal map widget for the Maemo5 platform.

Comments:
Actually Maep is the only way for getting a gps lock for me (without network assisted GPS), great app. Too bad that it can't use offline maps, but this is not its duty. Thumbs up.
Sorry for double comment. During the update from previous verion, it prompts to change the filesystem location of map tiles. (I had read in the mailing lists about a proposal to define a standard path for map tiles to be shared by all mapping applications.) The update worked with no issues. Very good.
