white box is intentional. when you receive a message, don't open it, switch to live wallpaper desktop and wait for a second. After a while you should be able to see why the white box is there.

now this is more like it. only issue is that if you switch wallpapers for example with prismic, live wallpaper gets hidden beneath even when it seems that the live wallpaper is enabled in the settings etc.

New features working ok, but the Modern animation shows an odd shadow over the railway on the left side and a white box on the right side of the screen, is this intentional?
