Comments:
@Mustali: Thank you very much for filing those bugs! It looks like the OMWeather guys have already pushed an update (0.28.3) to extras-devel with the fix included. Impressive response time... Nokia could learn a thing or two from them! :)
Thanks for the bug reports.
@Mohammed: I did notice the un-themed camera button clicked states, and I'll probably add those icons at some point.
@Mustali: I think the problems you mentioned are due to the use of non-standard colors and UI elements by the devs of the affected apps, so they're out of my control. As mentioned below, the theme sets the ButtonTextColor to black... That works fine with apps that use standard colors on standard UI elements, but it can result in invisible text when apps use the ButtonTextColor in places they shouldn't, or have buttons that do use the ButtonTextColor but don't display button graphics (as is the case with OMWeather). Hopefully the developers will update their UIs to be more theme-friendly, but obviously bugs will need to be filed to make that happen.
@Marko: Thanks, I hadn't noticed that. It will be fixed in the next update.
Since the package has now received enough votes, and all the issues which have been reported so far are fairly minor (or caused by bugs in other software), I think I'll promote this version when the quarantine ends, and push an update to extras-testing soon.
Selecting which desktops are active is bit difficult because all you get is black boxes.
Text in certain apps is not displayed because text color is same as background. I have noticed it in the following apps so far, there may be more: - 1. Omweather. Forecast not displayed. - 2. FeedingIt. Feed Title not displayed. - I had to remove the theme because of this bug. - Great theme btw!
@Ian You have convinced me.
There's also a problem with the camera post capture icons. I get the default ones when I tap on them (try tapping on delete for example and observing the selected icon)
Just filed the bug described below: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11014
Re the bug reported by Andreas and repeated by Mohammed: That's a bug with Maemo 5, not the theme! Nokia is (incorrectly) using the ButtonTextColor for those labels without displaying button graphics. The Okuda theme intentionally sets ButtonTextColor to black, so there's nothing I can do about the issue. I'll file a bug with Nokia (unless someone else beats me to it since I'm busy with other things), but it's a minor problem, and I don't think it's worth downvoting the package. See http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras-testing/QA_Checklist#Non-blockers
"The extras-testing QA process should not be used to delay the release of new applications and updates with minor/normal bugs or enhancement requests. These can be filed as bugs just as usual."
