Comments:
@Greg if you want to demote this package just vote thumbs down for it. Remember that now you can change your vote.
Requested a bugtracker yesterday - not sure that will help as the link will still be invalid...
Cant figure out how to remove this one from testing either? (no demote button?!) - i don't want another version in testing until one is ready...
Sorry* that was meant to say Timo* typo.
Tim, I found that was quite rude...
http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras-testing/QA_Checklist#Lack_of_bug_reporting_database
Lack of bug reporting database http://bugs.maemo.org/ is the preferred option. Otherwise it needs to be identified in the http://maemo.org/packages/ page.
I agree the link is broken, and I'm working on fixing it - but i have clearly put a link in the package description.
I also agree that i need to make my voice heard, but as the page/link above says it is only preferred, the assumption is T.M.O thread is ok. It may need to be clearer if the testing team refuse to accept T.M.O links?
...and if you think that the bugtracker requirements are unfair, drive a change to QA checklist, don't nag at the people who obey the checklist.
Greg, could you please search and quote here the first item in QA checklist? hint: link to it can be found at least at http://wiki.maemo.org/Help_testing_software.
and if you don't bother, I can give a spoiler: first item is called something like "bugtracker"
I know that you have provided a valid bugtracker, and I appreciate it. You can be sure that I'll continue the testing and use that link for reporting; however the problem is that an app can't go to Extras with a mispelled bugtracker link, because once in Extras the only source for knowing bugtracker is the bugtracker field.
We are discussing new validity criteria for the bugtracker link, if you want to give suggestions just go to:
http://wiki.maemo.org/Talk:Bugtracker
Emanuele - thumbs down for that? (Recently discussed in Talk threads too) the link is clearly in the description though? - doesnt stop the app from working so would class that as a minor niggle? :D
Will make sure it is a working link in the next version though - importantly people can list bugs for me on the talk forums for now :D
Yeah noticed - i removed it from the build config file, no change.... - but have also posted the link on this page and the package description.
The bugtracker link on this page isn't valid - it still has the xsbc-bugtracker tag at the start.
Voting thumbs down for broken bugtracker, for more info:
