Gweled 0.3.2-4
A shiny puzzle game
Gweled is a clone of the popular Bejeweled puzzle
game, and comes complete with music and sound
effects (and controls to turn them off). It has
both timed and untimed play modes, tracks your
highest score, and will save and restore your
game if you have to take a break for less
important activities like sleeping and eating.

A bug which I encounter is if the app is taken out of fovus, it crashes.
e.g. if an incoming call interrupts a game, then the app crashes, if you click on an incoming message balloon the aapp crashes, or if you use ctrl+backspace to drop to the dashboard, the app crashes.
great game though, and very addictive!
The app hanging at Exit is a known issue. I think Battle Geweld addresses it by disabling sound until the issue is fixed. https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5524
Nice catch Juha, I can confirm that bug. Pretty annoying, isn't it? Can't be a thumbs up with this bug. This game is far better than Battle Gweled, not to see it in Extras repository is just a shame. P.S: why can't I use this bugtracker? The product Gweled seems not to exist in Bugzilla...
When trying to quit game while Media Player is playing music it doesn't quit, but get's stuck on the screen. Only reboot or opening camera lens cover will quit the game.
I grabbed the only icon image on the upstream home page (http://sebdelestaing.free.fr/gweled/) big enough to use for a 64x64 fremantle app icon, and sure enough, that's what Battle Gweled uses, too. I didn't realize they were the same until i uploaded it the first time, and then didn't think it particularly mattered.
Given the advantages of Gweled over Battle Gweled and no (to my knowledge) advantages the other direction, i suspect Gweled will eventually be the one that's much higher on the list at Downloads and thus minimize confusion.
Works well.
having two apps (Battle Geweled) with the same icon looks odd. could be confusing to the user. any plans for a different icon?
ditto @can's comments. font hard to read.
Dude.. this is way better than Battle Gweled. Thanks David.
I have couple suggestions if you consider.
-When you first start the app, it says "Restart" instead of Start - When you start the game, the timers start but te music won't start until you tap to screen. - The font is very hard to read. I cant tell my score or the game status. - Music selection would be better :) - I think you could also add Pause button where the game board gets hidden.
Thanks for testing, Pauli. I pulled it out of garage and fixed it up for Fremantle because there were requests for features Battle Gweled doesn't have, specifically, the option for timed or untimed game mode, and music/sound effects. Seemed worth it to me, but hope i didn't offend anyone.
Exactly the same game as Battle Gweled (port of the same stuff?), but I guess a bit of competition doesn't hurt.
Seems to work OK, optified etc.
