gPodder Podcast Client 2.1-1
A podcast aggregator for the Nokia N900
gPodder is a podcast receiver/catcher with a specialized UI that
has been optimized for Maemo 5 and the N900. Podcasts are like
short radio shows that you can download from the Internet and
subscribe to like blogs or news feeds.
gPodder supports both audio and video podcasts equally, and is
said to be one of the most usable podcast clients available.
Different versions for several platforms and devices exist.
This is the Maemo 5-optimized version of gPodder.

Is it possible to show "podcast date" somewhere in podcast details. The date that podcast episode was put in internet.
Thomas: I now see the 'Download' button in the Podcast-detail section. The small down-arrow was hidden. Thanks
still getting the glade2 error, so can't re-install?
Mustali: Downloading episodes is possible via the AppMenu (touch the titlebar). It's true that this is not really discoverable, as for long titles, the blue arrow is hidden (I've filed bug 7105 for that).
Bjoern: Yes, could do. Did not have much time to spend on packaging, more time on developing ;) (You can grab the source package and try to completely optify it and send me a patch against the "debian/" folder).
Corwin: Same response as with Mustali - tap the title bar and select "Download" (see Maemo bug 7105). If you want to re-download episodes that you have already deleted, select "Deleted" from the view filter in the episode list and then tap the episode you want to re-download to show its shownotes window.

Just one suggestion: Why not optify it completely. The icons are on /opt an the bins on /usr/bin

There is a dependency conflict with Gonvert. gPodder uses python-gtk2 = 2.12.1-6maemo10 whereas Gonvert requires python-glade2 which in turn requires python-gtk2 = 2.12.1-6maemo9.
Actually it is not your fault, but at the moment installing either gPodder or Gonvert prevents the other one from being installed. I suggest you to see whether gPodder can use python-gtk2 = 2.12.1-6maemo9 or to talk with the maintainer of python-glade2.
I don't understand why the app allows downloading of only "new" episodes and not old ones displayed in the list.
Add a podcast, download the newest episode. go to the episode-list to download other episodes. not possible. only allowed to 'Play' ?
On second thought, this version is not installable, python-gtk2 (>= 2.12.1-6maemo10) is not available. I disabled devel.
