Update with Cell says:

~ $ googlelatitude lat = 47,700000, long = 13,300000, eph = 320000,000000 lat = 47,700000, long = 13,300000, eph = 320000,000000 "" ""

That is 117 kilometers away from my real position. Update with IP says:

"lat = 48.2092 lng = 16.3728 acc = 140000" "" "lat = 48.2092 lng = 16.3728 acc = 140000" ""

Still not updating to latitude at all (and no html code output to console...page not loading?) another test i've got:

~ $ googlelatitude lat = 48,372218, long = 14,509508, eph = nan lat = 48,372218, long = 14,509508, eph = nan " Could not parse double from parameter "accuracy" (accuracy): nan

Could not parse double from parameter "accuracy" (accuracy): nan

Error 400

"

"eph = nan" looks like a bad conversion? but: if i go online in messaging service and share my position, googlelatitude works well! maybe you should start the cell based location fix (ACWP) at start of the programm and stop at closing.

Updating via IP worked, even with no previous established connection. UI deserves some work, because it's hard to tell that all buttons (Update via... and manual) are equivalent. Bugtracker link doesn't work, so thumbs down.

It says "Location Updated!" in the status screen, but Google Latitude still shows me as "last updated 4 days ago". So, doesn't seem to actually work.

A latitude service to run in the background would be a lovely feature in the future, however this app works quite well as is.

Also, I'd be very, very happy if you could lose some of those dependencies. Pulling the non-optimized libqt4-webkit eats 17M, along with other stuff makes it by far the largest app I have (rootfs-wise).

However, +1 as the app itself works fine now.

Works great !!

I think the application could benefit from some UX/UI work from the community designers. You can ask for help here: http://talk.maemo.org/forumdisplay.php?f=46

Works fine with PR 1.1 after dependencies have been fixed.

Worked for me only using "cellular" as method to find out my position. Trying "gps" or "network" gives me no report why it fails.

Not finished application interface. I guess need to add menu for constant updates for example each 10, 15 min, 30....

@Henri Bergius * No complaints if the Google account has wrong password (except in the map view) RE: no repro, can you describe how reproduce it?, at press a button it say "Error in Authentification !"

  • Manual Update doesn't update your location to Latitude RE: if lat or lon == 0, i do not update...are you in 0,0 ?

Thanks!

For me it installed without problems, however, it has some issues when actually using it:

  • No complaints if the Google account has wrong password (except in the map view)
  • Manual Update doesn't update your location to Latitude

@Lasse Aagren

libqt4-maemo5-* is only on extras-devel :(

i like libqt4-maemo5-*... but is not in extras-testing or extras

2010-01-05 13:27 UTC

Yep, there are several libqt4-* packages that are missing, the package is not installable. Wouldn't it be better to depend on the new libqt4-maemo5-* packages?

Perfect :)

I tested it on a maemo scratchbox installation, so that is probably why it didn't have libqt4-dbus already installed.

thanks, fixed both on git...

libqt4-dbus is on firmware, mp-fremantle-generic-pr and as-daemon-0 (mail for exchange) depend of it

the packages seems to be missing a dependency on libqt4-dbus.

Furthermore the link to the bugtracker on this page is broken.

Best regards, Lasse
