Offline Wikipedia Viewer Evopedia uses compressed dumps of Wikipedia for offline use especially on mobile devices. The geographical data in the articles is used to display a map of these articles. The images on Wikipedia are not contained in the dump but if you are connected to the internet, they are nevertheless shown.

  • 'Map' worked for me only once. now all that is displayed is a grey screen with the 'Map Data...' text at the bottom, even when online. ZoomIn or Out does not help. when I pan the Map, some CPU activity is noticed but no map.
  • it would be nice to exit the About dialog by tapping outside the dialog. I missed the Done button altogether :)

I like the deny network mode a lot, a few more applications (e.g. maps) could do with that.

Is the icon now meant to be a sideways 'W' on a jigsaw piece? I think the old one (top of this page) was better.
