Evopedia uses compressed dumps of Wikipedia for offline use
especially on mobile devices.
The geographical data in the articles is used to display a map of these
articles. The images on Wikipedia are not contained in the dump but if you
are connected to the internet, they are nevertheless shown.

I had issues extracting the English dump (possibly a corrupt download) but the German dump works nicely, thanks.
In this bug report the developer wrote a quick workaround for the in-article bug. He also said that he'll fix the official dumps.
Links don't work in the English dump. - search for maemo - click Maemo to open article - scroll to See Also - click Openmoko - opened link is http://127.0.0.1:8080/articles/o/p/e/Openmoko.html - modifying the link to http://127.0.0.1:8080/wiki/Openmoko opens the correct page - this is the case with all links I came across that had an identical pattern. thanks
In-article links don't work with Italian and Esperanto dumps. Going to try the english one.
