Comments:
So close to going into extras, yet so far...
I'm going to pull this version and put a new one instead... Sigh...
Thanks Alan. Sorry I didn't read your response to my comment before. It would be great if there was a way to keep up with the comments via email. The talk thread has been noted.
btw, I didn't refer to the OO issue as a bug.
Thanks
Mustali: have you followed my advice from the last time you posted this "bug"? I said:
"As for the openoffice problem, ensure your locale is properly set as per the wiki (see "Q: English isn't my first language")."
If you are having problems, please come to the thread from the "bugtracker" field and ask for help there.
OpenOffice fails to start from the App-Menu. Is anyone else having this issue? AFAICT, this would be Blocker (Working provided features)
It is crowding the app menu with lots of starters. I don't like that. Installation was easy. Maybe write a simple launcher panel app for easy-debian so that the number of starters get reduced to one. Launching the app could automatically mount the chroot, while exiting it could automatically unmount it. The launcher panel could also show user-friendly descriptions.
Additional comments: The above link "Report a bug in this project's bugtracker" points to "xsbc-bugtracker:%20https://garage.maemo.org/tracker/?atid=3577&group_id=953&func=browse" while it should be just "https://garage.maemo.org/tracker/?atid=3577&group_id=953&func=browse". I think it is not a real problem for bug reporters, but the XSBC-Bugtracker line should be fixed in Debian control file. Furthermore, I don't know if it is possible to optify this package due to its peculiar nature. Please clarify that as well.
