DOSBox 0.73-7maemo5
Intel x86 PC emulator
DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse,
joystick, modem, etc.
DOSBox also comes with its own DOS-like command prompt.
It is still quite rudimentary and lacks many of the features found in MS-DOS,
but it is sufficient for installing and running most DOS games.

Comments:
Great job!!! I agree that it needs more development (specially in the keyboard mappings) but it is great to see old DOS games in my N900! Thanks a lot for your job, Javier and Teemu.
[2010-08-16 16:40:49] Hi! Does anyone mind to recompile Dosbox with propper INT28 support? http://pastebin.com/aUiBGacZ
[2010-08-16 16:42:55] Dosbox with int28 will sleep if nothing is typed at the command prompt. And therefore reduce battery usage.
It's not ready for Extras. The "normal" end user can't hack config files just to make the app usable. Keyboard and speed are the major issues. Optification is OK but the bugtracker is missing.
Please make sure your application conforms with QA checklist before submitting it to the extras-testing queue, so it would be easier to test and promote to extras.
QA checklist (+details) available at: http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras-testing/QA_Checklist
No bugtracker
Defaults to English QUERTY, function key is not recognized, lot of shorcuts are missing and need to be defined. I think this app deserves a user iterface with at least basic configuration before it's promoted, so that majority of users can actualy use it.
Mustali: currently, I am providing multiple layout support by using my own KEYB replacement. Unfortunately the layout files themselves are very incomplete, and currently only US/UK is supported. Check talk.maemo.org for "rover.sys" file.
Optification looks fine.
For promotion to extras, I think it deserves:
Support for Ctrl-Backspace (either force quit or go to AppOverview). Most games don't do this at all. Flobopoyo does for e.g. I know users can exit games with power button and 'end process', but not all of them do, and it feels drastic.
Perhaps edit the startup message to include notes on keybindings. Especially explain how to "exit" if the game does not allow that.
Binding camera button and proximity sensor to left/right click of mouse, and using screen as a touchpad.
Speed looks good: wing commander, ultima underworld drawing close to playable.
