I guess its a matter of you do you consider it poor UI or broken functionality.
I had thought you could at least manually pan it but it seems not.
Again, please file a bug on this!
I was just entering a new message and it did not wrap around as i was typing. I did not do anything special or different. As for the extras criteria would this not fall under broken functionality as this makes it difficult to type longer messages?
You can drag by dragging the whole area ... I think. Surprisingly several complaints on the Dialcentral thread have been brought up but no one has filed a bug which keeps making it fall off my Radar http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=29347
My best guess is it is a GTK bug because of what cases you can and cannot hit it. I do have a possible way to fix it but I keep losing track of it. So please file a bug!
Jeremy, is the line wrap the reason that you thumb downed Dialcentral? When looking at the QA checklist UI issues doesn't seem to be a part of it. http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras-testing/QA_Checklist
When I type in a message, it does not wrap onto the next line. Frustrating if you are typing in long messages as you cannot see what you are typing and you cannot scroll over to it... Has anyone else had this problem?
I've only used the SMS messaging part thus far, but it works quite well.
As a caution to those testing, there are reports of issues when using Gizmo SIP numbers with Dialcentral. It has been confirmed that these issues are reproducible with Google's own websites. The likely hood of hitting these issues should be reduced in 1.0.9-0 or later.
Everything works beautifully, no noticeable hangs, and all functionality appears to work without issue.
