Oh, and two more things I just noticed:

Multiple events should probably be automatically sorted by date by default.

Adding events without a name/title is possible - maybe you want to require that field or provide a default title, such as the date as string (e.g. "December 24th 2009").

Again, no show stoppers :)

Good point about the update interval. Currently if you select 0, it will update every time you switch focus to that desktop and that is it. Probably a good option for people with only far-off events.

It is a nice little widget, but I can't make up my mind on the use. Am I supposed to have long or short term items on it? I suppose long, because the time options are large units.

It's now been telling me for a few days how long it is till the summit. And that's nice. Now I can panic on the open issues.

Seems to be ok on battery and processor, but the update interval needs to be sensible. 1 minute only works for boiling eggs. For an event two weeks away I don't want a minute countdown.
