Catorise 0.7.3
Put applications menu into sensible categories.
Catorise puts the applications menu into a series of sections,
matching those used in the Application Manager to install it.
As packages are installed and removed, the menu is kept up-to-date.
To revert to the Nokia-supplied default, simply uninstall.
This is based on the "MyMenu" concept by manzn.

Comments:
No problems here, works just fine. The category icons are a bit disappointing and they do not look so good, being just downsized app installer icons. Please consider changing those in future.
No problem with the Ovi section here. It all works fine.
@tomazd, I've just successfully installed "Sand", via the Ovi Store, and it showed up in the "Ovi" section.
Can you email me (or raise a bug report with) your /opt/catorise/menu and /etc/xdg/menus/hildon.menu files? Thanks in advance.
The truncation is a hildon-desktop bug, someone was going to raise it for me, but I'm not sure they did.
Andrew, here's a hint. The apps I've installed using the Ovi Store web interface are not visible in the Ovi section. The only app I've installed using apt-get from the Ovi Store is the only app that shows up in the Ovi section. This might not be a coincidence.
@Andrew
Only the "Sand" drawing app shows up in the Ovi section. The rest (Angry Birds, Angle Meter, Bounce, Labyrinth Lite, Eggtimer) only appears in the All section. I would consider this a blocker, though I'm 100% sure that these packages are simply badly packaged, it's not your fault.
There is also a problem with the "Localization and Navigation" category name string in the main menu, which is truncated (in Polish it should be "Lokalizacja i nawigacja", but "Lokalizacja i na" is visible).
@tomaszd, do they show up in the "Ovi" section and not start? Or do they not show up at all? What about via the "All" section?
Changelog from 0.6.0: * Optimise categorisation of new apps, and speed up inital install by indexing desktop -> package exactly once. * Use symlinks into /etc/hildon/theme/backgrounds for icons rather than copying as part of the script. * Create "shim" versions of X-Maemo-Prestarted items as a workaround of MB#8111 (fixes MB#8328) * Move default categories of X Terminal and Notes, based on suggestions by timeless and the original examples given in the community categorisation. * Allow an entry to be put in the top-level by having '_root' as the section in /opt/catorise/menu. * Provide GUI feedback on menu structure updates.
I can't access my Ovi Store apps (e.g. Angry Birds) when I use this. :(
Can you post a changelog please?
