it seems that on a fresh N900 the problem still exists, so it's not my phone's fault. Let me know if you need further help.

"chown user users /sbin/conplast" doesn't work, instead I used "chown user /sbin/conplast".

However none of your suggestions worked, convertplastic is still not foundable with user powers. I'm trying to install your app on a freshly flashed N900 (I've more than 1 N900), I'll tell you if the "problem" is related to my phone soon.

Could you kindly try if this helps (type as root): chmod 0775 /sbin/conplast

and

chmod 0775 /sbin/convertplastic

And if that doesn't help, try to this for both files: chown user users /sbin/conplast

Mmhh, I agree that's pretty weird. The output of my "convertplastic", as already said, is simply

-sh: convertiplastic:not found

Output of "ls -l /sbin/conplast":

-rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 1159 Aug 31 12:41 /sbin/conplast

Output of "ls -l /sbin/convertplastic":

-rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 101 Aug 31 12:41 /sbin/convertplastic

That's weird. I tested several times on my unit that script launches fine with regular user priviledges.

Can you provide output of: ls -l /sbin/conplast ls -l /sbin/convertplastic

Now convertplastic works if run as root, but it still doesn't work if used with user powers.

However, if used as root it works very well, tested with humanity theme.
