The software UI is confusing, and lots of synchronous waits. Also, it would be great if it would have some place to add new bell towers, or state clearly where/how to add new towers.

couldn't find the version number from the app. It would be nice to have an 'About' menu-item. Perhaps include Credits in it?

GPS worked fine. the n900 seems to take long before a fix. 'Nearby' feature also worked.

Er... I wanted to give thumbs down but by accident I pressed thumbs up. Then I pressed thumbs down and now both are counted... :/

Should have a better description (including capitalisation), XB-Maemo-Display-Name and a 48px XB-Maemo-Icon-26. Doesn't use /opt and the opening directly into "Credits" is a bit... odd.

When distance is large like from Finland to London, distance is shown as "unknown".

"Directions" function copies my location in form "60,22" which google maps doesn't understand. It should be "60.22". Reason is my locale settings.

I didn't see the unresponsiveness that Till reported. In fact I was amazed by how quickly the "nearby" list came up (I assumed it had been working on it in the background).

Some things in the application should be moved to some background process or the like. E.g. the search takes a significant time. If you try to close the search dialog while performaning an (ampty in this test case) search then you are being asked by the system if you want to close this unresponsive application. I first even thought the app is completely stuck in an infinitle loop, but after some more seconds it became responsive again.

Second try and the "nearby" functionality shown something, but the GPS indicator doesn't appeared in the status bar. In my previous try, I never had a fix (fresh image), this time I had a fix with the maps application previously.

The GPS functionality works for me, so if it doesn't work for you, something's broken.

That's a good idea about opening in a new window. I will implement that.

I've a enhancement request ;), I didn't find beltower in the bugzilla, so here it goes:

When you requests to see the map, website or peals, the app open the request in the current window if it exists, this is a bit annoying if you already have the browser open or if you want to switch between the map and the tower website. Opening the browser in a new window should fix that.

The original version listed every country that has a belltower on the first menu, but it got very crowded. I compromised by making the last entry in the first list be "Countries with few belltowers" (where "few" is defined as fewer than ten), which brings up a separate list. Now I'm wondering whether that's not discoverable enough.

From a quick testing everything works fine. I'd love to see more countries but that's an enhancement request only. +1 from me.
