Doesnt work for me. Account registration fails immediately. From the syslog (unfortunately its truncated): Jan 22 17:47:32 Nokia-N900-51-1 mission-control[1030]: GLIB WARNING ** default - request_connection_cb: RequestConnection failed: org.freedesktop.DBus.Python.KeyError: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.5/dbus/service.py", line 702, in _message_cb retval = candidate_method(self, args, *keywords) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/telepathy/server/connmgr.py", line 69, in RequestConnection conn = self._protosproto File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/butterfly/connection.py", line 96, in init telepathy.server.Connection.init(self, 'msn', account, 'butterfly') File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/telepathy/server/conn.py", line 82, in init _Connection.init(self, bus_name, object_path) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.5/dbus/service.py", line 480, in init self.add_to_connection(conn, object_path) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.5/dbus/service.py", line 571, in add_to_connection self._fallback) KeyError:

Will be the MSNP over HTTP protocol available? I need it because in office the default MSNP port is closed, therefore I have to use the HTTP one

Two issues I just found:

a) I have one contact that is not listed in on-line users, both when it is online or offline. The contact is able to send me a message and after that I can also send to it. However, I cannot initiate a conversation. When viewing the contact from the address book, it shows "Offline" or "Online" but there is no button to send a message. All other contacts have this button.

b) There should be an option to rename the MSN account. I just renamed mine and I had to remove all old MSN ids from all persons and add them again. This happens because the contact's ID is tied to one (local) ID.

I have also been able to replicate the above, except only with the first online contact in my list.

Also deleting MSN contacts from your address book does not work - they simply re-appear. As a temporary fix I've merged all my delted contacts into "xDeleted" so they're all in the one place right down the bottom of the contact list.

  • works but unable to start a chat:
  • Open Conversations window
  • Select New IM
  • select MSN contact from Contact list who is online
  • expected: IM window opened
  • actual: Contact list is closed. IM window does not appear.

  • however, I am able to reply to IMs or continue the chat from previous Converstations of that contact.
  • in the nutshell, able to reply and continue, but not initiate. am I missing something?
