Accelemymote 0.1.0
making your accelerometer more joy-ful
Accelemymote takes input from the accelerometers in the N900
and converts it into joystick events. This makes any game
that supports a generic joystick interface tilt compatible.
It is recommended that the accelemymote-gui package be installed.

| 0.1.0 | * Moved trigger file to /tmp/ to not survive reboots: /tmp/accelemymote-live ==Breaks compatibility with some apps using accelemymote!== * Now supports setting offset. Setting offset in config file to 900 will cause current pitch value to be added after 4 s. * Added deadzone parameter to cfg file. This is the fraction of the maximum pitch and roll angles from the neutral position that will not register as joystick input. | davidfalkayn@gmail.cmo | 2010-07-13 17:26 UTC |

Comments:
When 'idle' - as it may be if user has exited a game - this uses an additional 20mA of battery - enough to drop battery life from around 4 days to under 2.
While detecting if a game is active is tricky perhaps - shutting off the accel->joystick, or at least not sampling when the screen is locked would be a sane first step.
